Throwing Daub

We’re saving a historic building with material that’s already served it for more than 600 years. The Cockpit in Eton is on the Heritage at Risk Register. Here, our team is reusing its historic daub, throwing it by hand onto axe-cut timber laths. Saving a building like this takes more than repairs. It takes an understanding of its materials, traditional craftsmanship and the judgement to know what to preserve. So proud of the team helping give this extraordinary building a future.
